Higginson Bangs 3 HR Against Montreal
Friday, October 24th, 1997
There is an old saying, "Bad news comes in threes." Superstitious or not, it came true today in the case of the Baltimore Orioles. Bobby Higginson hit three homers and they still lost the game 11-8 to Montreal at Memorial Stadium.

"We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through like the Expos did. Bobby hit the heck out of the ball. I'm just sorry we couldn't win it for him," his manager said in the postgame press conference.

In addition to the homers, Higginson collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 5 RBIs and scored 3 runs.

He said after the game, "Easy swings get you home runs. I told myself not to press on the last one. It had to be a nice and easy swing."

Bobby Higginson struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Brad Woodall in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Brad Woodall in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Jose Silva in the 9th.

Currently Higginson is batting .284 with 36 home runs, 117 RBIs and 112 runs scored.
Expos Tatsunami Out of Action
Friday, October 24th, 1997
After the end of today's game between Montreal and Baltimore, Kazuyoshi Tatsunami skipped the clubhouse and headed straight for the doctor's office. After he was removed from the game as a precaution after colliding with a player at a base, the Expos had their worst fears confirmed when it turned out to be more serious. The shortstop will miss at least 2 weeks with a lacerated hand.

This season Tatsunami is batting at a .257 clip with 3 home runs and 26 RBIs.
